Stainless steel clamp connection joint
Jul 15, 2024| The groove type mechanical joint piping system is a new concept of piping technology developed in recent years, which brings a new idea to the installation of stainless steel joints for pipeline connections.
The groove type pipeline connection process uses "clamps" corresponding to the groove to tightly fix two pipelines together. Of course, there is also a key component in the clamp joint - the sealing rubber ring.
The material of the clamp joint is generally stainless steel, cast iron, malleable cast iron or cast steel. Pipelines below stainless steel clamps have a two-piece structure, while those above DN350 have a multi piece structure.

Clamp joints can be selected as rigid or flexible joints according to different usage requirements, but rigid joints are generally preferred for fire protection systems. The typical type of clamp joint shown in the figure is usually used with a nominal pressure of 1.6 MPa or above.
