what is applicable medium temperature for different valve body and bonnet material?
Nov 15, 2019| The applicable medium temperature of different valve body and cover materials is as follows:
Gray iron valve body, valve cover applicable medium service temperature of 250℃.
Malleable cast iron valve body, valve cover applicable medium service temperature of 300℃.
Ductile iron valve body, cover applicable medium service temperature of 350℃.
High silicon cast iron valve body, cover suitable medium service temperature is 120℃.
Carbon steel valve body, valve cover applicable medium service temperature of 425℃ (forgings 16Mn, 30Mn up to 450℃).
Cr5Mo alloy steel valve body, valve cover applicable medium service temperature is 550℃.
1Cr18Ni9Ti and Cr18Ni12Mo2Ti stainless steel valve body, cover suitable medium service temperature is 600℃.
Copper alloy valve body, valve cover applicable medium service temperature of 200℃.
Titanium valve body, cover applicable medium service temperature is 300℃.
Applicable medium temperature of plastic body and cover: nylon 100℃, chlorinated polyether 100℃, polyvinyl chloride 60℃, polytrifluoroethylene -60~120℃, polytetrafluoroethylene -180~150℃.
Rubber diaphragm valve depends on the different types of rubber, natural rubber 60℃;Neoprene rubber 80℃;Fluorine rubber 150℃.
Valve lining with rubber, plastic, rubber, plastic temperature resistance to prevail.
Ceramic and glass valves, with poor temperature resistance, are generally used below 90℃.
The temperature resistance of enamel valve is limited by sealing ring material, and the temperature of medium exceeds 150℃
