the failure of the breathing valve and the content to be checked

Jan 26, 2024|

The common faults of the breathing valve are: air leakage, stuck, bonding, blocking, freezing, and the pressure valve and vacuum valve are normally open. For example:

1. Air leakage: It is generally caused by corrosion, hard objects scratching the contact surface between the valve and the valve disc, the deformation of the valve disc or the valve seat, and the tilt of the valve disc guide rod.

2. Stuck: In the case of incorrect installation of the breathing valve or the deformation of the oil tank leading to the skew of the valve disc guide rod and the corrosion of the valve rod, the valve seat can not be in place when moving up and down the guide rod, and the valve disc is stuck in a certain part of the guide rod.

3. Bonding: Because the oil vapor, moisture and dust deposited on the valve disc, seat, guide rod mix chemical and physical changes, so that the valve disc and the seat or guide rod bond together.

4. Blockage: Because the mechanical breathing valve is not maintained for a long time, dust, rust and other debris are deposited in the breathing valve or breathing tube, and bees or birds nest in the breathing valve mouth, etc., so that the breathing valve is blocked.

5. Freezing: Because the temperature changes, the moisture in the air condenses in the valve body, valve disc, valve seat and guide rod, and then freezes, making the valve difficult to open.

In this regard, we should check regularly to check whether there is normal open, air leakage, stuck, sticking, blocking, freezing, rust and other phenomena; Check whether the sealing gasket is leaking, and replace it if found; Check whether the valve disc can rotate flexibly and whether there is a stuck fault; Check whether the valve body sealing net is frozen, blocked, and whether there is dust or dirt attached to the net; Check whether metal parts such as valve disc, valve seat, guide rod, wind spring and so on have rust and scale. Use kerosene to clean.
