Screw connection of cock valve

Accumulation of crusts, dirt, or any external material in the pipe can impede the efficiency of the plug valve and seriously damage key components of the valve.The inside of the pipe must be thoroughly cleaned with air or steam.When tapping pipe, measure pipe thread size and length to avoid stuffing pipe into seat and disc. 

Thoroughly clean the threaded ends to remove any harmful steel or iron deposits.Use teflon tape or pipe adhesive if you want a stronger weld.Use pipe adhesives only sparingly on pipe threads, but never on valve threads.Do not allow any pipe adhesive into the body to avoid damage to the disc and seat. 

Before installation, cut off the flow through the plug valve to make the plug valve work properly.Close the plug valve completely before installation.Apply wrench to hexagon bolt head near pipe to avoid possible distortion.After installing the plug valve, support the pipe: sagging pipe can distort the plug valve and cause failure.
