Sanitary ball valve construction
1. Valve body
The valve body is the main component of the sanitary ball valve, usually made of stainless steel material to meet the requirements of health and corrosion resistance. The internal structure of the valve body is reasonably designed to ensure that the fluid flow inside the valve is not hindered, and it is convenient to clean and disinfect.
2. Spheres
The ball is the key component of the sanitary ball valve, responsible for controlling the fluid on and off. The sphere is usually made of stainless steel or special alloys, and the surface is polished to ensure that the fluid will not be contaminated as it flows on the surface of the sphere. The ball is provided with a channel inside, when the ball is rotated to the position of fitting with the seat, the channel is closed to prevent the fluid from passing through; When the ball rotates to a position separate from the seat, the channel opens to allow fluid to pass through.
3. Valve seat
The valve seat is the sealing part of the sanitary ball valve, which is closely fitted with the ball to prevent fluid leakage. The seat is usually made of PTFE(polytetrafluoroethylene) or EPDM(EPDM) and other elastic materials, with good sealing performance and corrosion resistance.
4. Valve stem
The valve stem is used to connect the actuator to the ball and is responsible for driving the ball to rotate to achieve on-off control of the fluid. The stem is usually made of stainless steel and the surface is polished to prevent fluid residue on the stem surface. A channel is provided inside the valve stem to allow the sealing filler to pass through to achieve the seal of the valve stem.
5. Seal packing
The sealing filler is used to fill the gap between the stem and the valve body to prevent fluid leakage from the gap. Sealing filler is usually made of materials such as polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) or graphite, which has good sealing performance and corrosion resistance.

6. Implementing agencies
The actuator is the power source of the sanitary ball valve, responsible for driving the stem and ball rotation. The actuator can be manual, pneumatic, electric or hydraulic and other types, according to the specific needs to choose. The selection of actuator should meet the requirements of switching speed, torque and reliability of sanitary ball valve.
7. Connection mode
The connection mode of sanitary ball valve is usually clamp type, quick loading type or flange type. Clamp type connection is convenient and fast, suitable for small diameter valves; The quick-mount connection is suitable for frequent disassembly; Flange connection is suitable for large diameter valves and high pressure environment, seamless welding type. The choice of connection mode should be selected according to the specific use environment and requirements.

8. Auxiliary parts
Auxiliary components of sanitary ball valves include discharge ports, cleaning ports and observation Windows. The discharge port is used to discharge the fluid or gas inside the valve; The cleaning port is used to clean the inside of the valve; The viewing window is used to observe the work inside the valve. Auxiliary components should be set up to facilitate use and maintenance while meeting hygiene requirements.
The construction of sanitary ball valve covers many aspects such as valve body, ball, seat, stem, sealing packing, actuator, connection mode and auxiliary parts. The selection and design of these components should meet the special requirements of sanitary ball valves in food, pharmaceutical, chemical and other industries to ensure the purity and sterility of the fluid
