Product Introduction

A Pressure Vacuum Valve (PVV) is a safety device installed on storage tanks to protect them from overpressure or vacuum damage. It allows the tank to breathe during filling or emptying, while also preventing the tank from being exposed to dangerous levels of pressure or vacuum. PVVs are designed to automatically open and close in response to changes in atmospheric pressure, ensuring stable tank pressure conditions. They can be installed on a variety of tanks used in a range of industries, including petroleum, chemical, pharmaceutical, and food processing. PVVs are typically made of corrosion-resistant materials such as stainless steel, and are designed to operate reliably under harsh environmental conditions.

Working principle:

The Stainless Solutions Hygienic Tank pressure and Vacuum relief valve is designed to protect tanks from excess atmospheric changes.

If the internal tank pressure increases beyond a set pressure, the valve will open automatically to the exhaust outside the tank, venting excess air into the atmosphere. The valve will return to the normally closed position.

If there is vacuum in the tank the piston inside the valve opens automatically and draws air into the tank. As a result the air inside the tank will equalise. The valve offers the advantage over other valves by way of its doubling acting operation

Working Pressure: 2.9-45 psi. Set at 15 psi (1 Bar). Pre-set at factory.

Vacuum: Set at 0.15 PSI (0.15-0.75psi). Pre-set at factory.

Temperature: 14 ° F to + 250 ° F (-10 C – +120 C)

Seal Material: Food grade EPDM, Viton. Surface Finish: ID/OD mirror polish. ID Ra <0.8 μm, OD Ra < 0.8/1.6 μm.
