The breathing valve has two functions. When the pressure is higher than the set pressure (standard 1BAR), the valve can be vented, and vice versa.

Fermenter Safety PVRV Valves are essential components in preventing overpressure in fermenters during the fermentation process. Overpressure can cause the fermenter to rupture or explode, resulting in injury and property damage.
PVRV (Pressure Vacuum Relief Valve) is a type of valve that automatically opens when the pressure inside the fermenter surpasses a pre-set level. It allows gas to escape and prevents the fermenter from being damaged due to excessive pressure. Moreover, PVRV valves can also act as a vacuum relief valve, allowing for air to enter the fermenter when necessary. This maintains a regulated pressure within the system, preventing any significant changes that can affect the fermentation rate and quality of the final product.
